Hypnotherapy

Many of us have a habit or two that we would like to dispel and often the thought of hypnosis crosses our minds as a means of accomplishing this. So the big question is: Does it work? Yes! But, does it work without effort on you part? Not exactly.

Hypnosis is a tool, just like anything else and can be used as the means to an end but it also requires some effort on you part. Meaning, you will get out of it exactly what you put in to it.

First, let's dispel some of the myths of hypnosis. When using it for the ethical purposes of helping one to break a habit- at all times you are still in control. If fact this is the ultimate purpose, to put you back in control of your life, as opposed to a habit controlling you.

So, knowing that you are still in control, then it also follows that you cannot be hypnotized to do or say anything that would not be in your moral fiber to do or say anyway. Knowing this in advance should help you to further relax your inhibitions and allow for deeper acceptance of suggestions at your sub and super conscious levels.

However, regardless of the suggestions that have been instilled in your sub and super conscious levels, the ultimate effectiveness is up to you. All clients have much more success when they come to this process with the desire of "wanting" to correct a particular habit as opposed to "needing" to correct a habit. This is where the client's work comes in. This is what is meant by change not being accomplished without an effort on the part of the client. You have to want to make this happen. And when you do, hypnosis will make the journey so much easier.

Here at Wellness Health Options, we are here to help you whenever you decide that hypnosis is for you.

This procedure is performed by Karen Dupree.
